The holidays are a time for giving, especially for those who are less fortunate than you and me. Here at The WFC Group, we wanted to help a family in need over the holidays, and adopted a family for Christmas located in Dallas, Texas (where two of our remote employees currently work and reside). We partnered with a great organization, The Family Place, to help us select a family in need. The Family Place is a non-profit organization that empowers victims of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create independence, while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence. For victims of family violence, The Family Place is the Dallas area’s leading organization delivering proven programs that address emotional and physical abuse and incest. The Family Place provides free, comprehensive services that prevent violence and fully support women, children and men on their path from fear to safety.
The WFC Group adopted a family of six, with five kids all under the age of 13. Our employees from all over the country bought clothes, toys and household items to be delivered to the deserving family in time for Christmas. Our two employees located in Dallas, Christopher White and Jill Stidd, took the day off to drop off the gifts from our company and volunteer at the local drop-off center.
Just thinking about the smiles on the faces of the family when they receive the gifts, brings a smile to my face! We were so honored to work with such a great organization and look forward to adopting another deserving family next year.
