The WFC Group’s Key Takeaways from KronosWorks 2015

Posted by Neil Shah on Dec 8, 2015 10:00:00 AM

We heard a lot of chatter about a number of different topics while at KronosWorks this year. One word we would use to describe the vibe? Excitement. Kronos users were excited about new features available to them and curious about new hosting options for their business. Below are our key takeaways from the conference:

Workforce Central 8

As expected, there was a lot of buzz surrounding upgrading to Workforce Central 8. Many who stopped by our booth wanted to know how things have gone with our current clients who are already in the process of upgrading, and also about the new functionality – scheduling, insights using reporting and analytics, historical edits and global capabilities to name a few. We also heard a lot about Navigators, including change management and how to go about this most effectively to ensure success. Have a question about Workforce Central 8 that you didn’t get answered? Workforce Ready

Wow – what a large group of Workforce Ready users at KronosWorks. It was great to see a unique community forming within this space. We noticed that many people truly wanted to help with the evolution of the product, rather than chat about how little things might not be perfect for their needs – we see big things happening with Workforce Ready in 2016. Our own Director of Strategic Initiatives, Michael Turner, participated in a Workforce Ready panel with three current users to discuss what the biggest benefit of the system has been for our own clients using the product.

Mobile Technology

We heard a lot about mobile technology from retail and public safety clients – including the importance of allowing managers on the floor to be able to make decisions quickly and efficiently, all while still managing their workforce. Haven’t added mobile yet? Read why you absolutely need to, here.

Migrating to the Cloud

While migrating to the cloud has been a hot topic for a while now, we were impressed to hear that a lot of customers are currently in talks about moving to the Cloud, or are already in the process, although some were assessing their internal budgets to determine if it was the right fit for them. Consumer confidence is high regarding the reliability of the product, which is great to hear and confirm what we already knew! Are you thinking about making the move? Read our tips here, first.
