Your Checklist and Timeline for Upgrading to a Flash-free Kronos Workforce Solution

2020 is a year of important technological change. Kronos customers have between now and the end of the year to prepare for the end of Adobe Flash—just under 11 months. To help those affected meet this deadline, here is our recommended checklist and timing to achieve a successful implementation.

IMMEDIATELY:

  • Check if your current Kronos solution meets the Flash-free threshold.

Kronos Workforce Central 8.1.2 and earlier all have Flash integrations, requiring an upgrade to Central 8.1.3 or a migration to another Flash-free solution.

Kronos Workforce Ready and Workforce Dimensions are both already in the clear.

 ASAP:

  • Rally support.

    Be upfront about whose direct help you need to enact this important systemic change, from internal IT departments and human resources to even outside experts. Whether it’s just for a free initial consultation to understand which solution fits your needs best or for full implementation support to lift the burden off internal resources, we’re here to help!

  • Weigh your options.

    Does it make more sense for you to upgrade or to migrate entirely? How much of an adjustment period will your team need? Are there any efficiencies available between your current and future solution that can ease the process?

We expect most Workforce Central customers will find upgrading to 8.1.3 both an effective and efficient solution, especially given the tight time frame, but this also presents a great opportunity to pursue long-term business goals with Dimensions.

  • Implement & Train.

Depending on how big of a leap your workforce management solution requires, your preparation, implementation and optimization can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months—so don’t wait till Q3 to get the process started.
